Hey guys! Do you ever feel the need to get away and get out of your element? Go somewhere new and unfamiliar? Well, I am right there with you. I’m so use to a sandy destinations, party cities, I feel the need to go somewhere completely different. That’s why I’ve partnered with Glamping Hub to go on my first ever nature filled vacation to the Griffin Ranch.
The Griffin Ranch is located in Ocala, Florida which is about 4-5 hours from where I currently live in Miami. Although 4-5 hours isn’t that far away, the area seems like you have crossed over into a new state. All the nature, trees, wild life, this vacation will definitely be like no other.
Since this will be my first time staying in a cabin on a ranch, I wanted to share with you how I’m preparing for the cabin life.
Start with the basics
Just like any vacation you want to make sure to pack appropriate clothing options. Since this cabin is located near a national forest you can expect to be in the heat, surrounded by bugs and dirt, near ponds and lakes. With this little bit of scenic information attire is somewhat easy. You want to pack lite. Short, tank tops, sneakers, maybe some waterproof boots. You also can’t forget pants and a long sleeve shirt just in case the weather drops in the evening or if you want to protect yourself from mosquitoes.
Plan the entertainment
Considering the location of this Glamping Hub cabin, you can bet money that cell service and wifi will be far from reach so that means it’s time to plan to keep yourself busy. Bring a book, if you are going with a group games are a great way to pass the time. Plan to shoot content if you are an influencer. Bring a speaker so you can play music. At home spa treatment are also fun ways to show yourself a little self care. Cook your favorite recipe.
Make a Survival Kit
Now this is not a life or death survival kit but somethings you should pack with you in order to make it through your stay. This survival kit includes insect repellent, small can of bug spray, a towel and wash rag, any allergy medicine you may need, flash light and batteries. Pack all of this and I’ll be expecting a thank you letter for making your trip that much more bearable.
After doing all my research on the location, with these 3 simple tips, I am all ready for my trip with Glamping Hub. Stay tuned next week to get the recap of my trip and how I enjoyed the change of scenery.
