Thanksgiving is a special holiday most of us spend with our family sharing laughs over food, yummy drinks and enjoying those old family traditions. Luckily we also get to enjoy another holiday, FRIENDSGIVING! Friendsgiving is a gathering of friends who enjoy each other company over delicious thanksgiving foods and sometimes yummy left overs.
Their are no rules for a Friendsgiving. You can cook your favorite dish, steal all the left overs from grandmas house, brings load of wine – I mean who needs food anyways!? Play dirty adult games, gossip over girl talk. It’s a friends day to do whatever you hearts desire!
I recently got together with some of my girls friends at West Elm Dadeland (@WestElmDadeland) for an awesome Friendsgiving hosted by Natalie of @WinewithNat . We enjoyed some of our holiday favorites like butter squash soup and meatballs prepared by Mia Anzola of Cuisine and Events and enjoyed some delicious wines hand picked by ZONIN1821 and The Florida Wine Academy. So to ensure your Friendsgiving goes off without a hitch, I’m going to share with you how to host the perfect Friendsgiving!
First you need to set your table! Theme is everything when it comes to the holidays especially Thanksgiving. You want your setting to be very fall, warm and festive. West Elm has everything you need to make sure your table is set for a feast! And no table is prepared unless it has a beautiful flower arrangement. Two of my favorite blogger friends, Cat & Jules of @Tinesldot created the most beautiful Thanksgiving floral arrangement for our table with hand picked flowers from Miami Flower Market and decorated our table with some of the cutest fall designs right off of the shelves like the Dapper Animal Plate Collection. And because I have the best readers, you an enjoy 15% off of your purchase at West Elm Dadeland and get your table prepared for the holidays.

Now that the table is set, it’s time to put the wine to chill! No gathering of friends and food can go without some wine! Thanks to the Florida Wine Academy we got to try a variety of different wines all suitable for a Thanksgiving feast. On the menu we had Masseria Altemura Fiano , Zonin Prosecco and Castello del Poggio Moscato. You can’t go wrong with any of these options for your friendsgiving.
Of course you can’t forget the food! Thanks to Mia Anzola we were able to enjoy some easy thanksgiving dishes. Any food is acceptable for a Friendsgiving, whether it’s your classic turkey or ham, mac and cheese, stuffing; You can pick your favorite dishes or mix it up with some new recipes. Mia prepared some holiday favorites that we were able to pair with our delicious wines. We strayed from your traditional thanksgiving dishes and decided to try some new alternatives that we loved! Enjoy these thanksgiving dishes with your friends using the recipes below.
Lastly, You cant forget your friends! I’m so thankful for this group of awesome women whom I’ve had the pleasure of growing with over time. Some old friends, some new but great friends none the less! Thanks to these ladies for making this a Friendsgiving for the books!
