The Little Black Dress has so much history behind it, dating back to the early 1900’s when black was mostly worn for mourning a loss. After World War I, it was worn so often it no longer was unusual to see, and in 1926 the oh so fabulous Coco Chanel published her little black dress design in American Vogue, effectively making it an iconic and versatile addition to every woman’s wardrobe.
An iconic and versatile addition to every woman’s wardrobe.
The little black dress will forever remain a staple garment in any women’s closet. As someone who has a lot of dresses, I’ve never really found that perfect LBD that can be worn during the day or at night. Safe to say, I think I found a winner! This LBD from Shop Love Yourz is perfect in every way. The material is so soft, light and breathable – perfect for all the heat that Miami had to offer. Also has such a great stretch and hugs every curves like a glove. What I loved most and what I’m sure most of us thick girls can appreciate, is even wearing my spanx you would never be able to tell! Sometimes, you can see the seams through the fabric, etc. but not in this dress. When I said a winner, I mean Winner!!! Going for an all-black look I paired this dress with an edgy black leather jacket and simple black heels. Of course you cannot forget that pop of color on the lips.
